Baldwinsville Engine 1 was dispatched to the Lakeside Fire District for a reported garage fire. Baldwinsville Car 3 (Assistant Chief McIntyre) arrived first on scene to find a fully involved garage on fire attached to a 2 story residential structure and immediately declared a working fire "signal 99". Crews made quick work of extinguishing the blaze and also found extension of fire in the cock loft of the residence.2 hand lines were pulled and the fire was extinguished within 30 minutes. The house was severely damaged by smoke and water with the garage being a total loss. The family was being assisted by the American Red Cross and friends and family on scene.
